Why “Liminal”?
Liminal means threshold — the space of crossing from one side to another.
Learning a language isn't really about vocabulary or grammar. It's a door. On the other side of that door is a culture, a way of thinking, relationships and experiences you simply cannot access any other way.
The journey
I did it. We'll do it together.
I made the jump myself — from classroom methods to learning Japanese through immersion, up to JLPT N2 (roughly CEFR B2). I never considered myself a “gifted” learner: what got me there was consistency, not talent. I'm not observing your journey from the outside — I'm on the same road, a few steps ahead.

Before you start
Not at all. The A1 level starts from absolute zero — no prior knowledge needed. If you already have some basics, you can start at the level that matches where you are.
